Summer Dreams Kit

Hi all,

I had the pleasure of creating some loveliness with the Summer Dreams Kit that Maxine put together. It's a lovely kit full of lovely colours, embellishments and loads of it too, well worth the money! I had a few photos and stories in mind when I was looking through all the goodies and here is what I have made so far:

An 8.5 x 11 page here all about my older daughter and beauty being about more than looks! A simple page with patterned paper for the background, a little white paint behind the photo to help it stand out, some cardstock cut up for journalling and to hold the title and I made the lace flower from a piece of lace, twirled around and held in place with a small brad (brad not in kit).

The colours in this photo are complemented really well with the bright tree patterned paper and I used some of the Dear Lizzy stickers and two lengths of ribbon here too. The alpha stickers are my own. I was glad that the kit lent itself for boy layouts too!

I love the girliness of this layout and the pinks that tie in with the photo and the hints of yellow too echoing the yellow bucket. I especially loved the rose ribbon, so gorgeous!

In complete contrast, a much more masculine scheme for this page all about my son choosing to read a book!!!! Miraculous event in our house!

I still have lots left and plan to do an altered project this week which I will post as soon as it is done. I hope you like what I've done with the kit, please hop over to the shop to see the kit and all the other goodies in the shop! If you do purchase the kit, please link us up with your creations!

Welcome & New Kit!

Welcome to our new blog to go along with our new name and new look! I really hope that you like it all! A special thanks to Annie who designed our fabulous new logo, do make sure you go and check out her blog and all her great creations :o)

To start us off our new Red Embellish kit is now on sale, you can find it here.

Here are some creations from Annie using the kit. She created a card, a 12x12 layout and a mini book!

For the mini book Annie used a care board book, printed out photos to
either fit the page or smaller. Used white gesso on the cover, let
it dry then used watercolour crayons around the edges and throughout
the book, in red of course!

We hope these projects have helped to inspire you and we would love to see anything you make with the kit, please feel free to leave a link to your blog in the comment so we can come and see.

We will be back soon with more,
Happy Crafting!
